Nathan Carter – New York-based artist, and member of the hardcore punker groupdance troupe The Final Run iNs and author of two artists books with onestar press – has created a new bookshelf for displaying the onestar collection. Carter’s capricious insouciance, his love of primary colors and an unhinged suspended geometry are here with practical playfulness – and when one knows of his pop/punk/neobeat (& hilarious) pseudo-narratives involving clandestine radio/signal operators who “send encrypted messages into the foggy ether of the night sky and then have a savory snack baked in a concealed kitchen, embedded with a piece of micro-film alluding to future covert affairs…”, then the bookshelf becomes one of Carter’s mysterious transmitter/ receivers. As he says, “in Paris there are often several ways to look at things… and like waging a war, you don’t go unless you absolutely have to” The onestar press collection is officially Carterized.

Nathan Carter presents an atmospheric explosion of electricity channeling the spirit of Jimi Hendrix +The Teen Idols et alia through 4 musical groups of dwarf rockers who will bombard the city via Carter’s AIRWAVE AUDIO ABERRATION ABSTRATOR temporarily located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris in the Onestar press headquarters. All normal municipal, commercial and civilian communications to and from the French capital will be cut off during this historic broadcast. The Eiffel Tower will be neutralized carnally. Witness this significant and memorable alleviation of the French malaise and be further transformed internally because Bisque Biscarrosse will be served (maybe…).

At this occasion onestar press is happy to introduce “Metro Bibliotheque” by Nathan Carter, a new series of specially created bookshelves to host its artist’s book collection.
